TERMS OF SALE

1. Auction sales ARE NOT approval sales. Read these terms carefully. By submitting bids you agree to the terms set forth below. All coins have been classified by experts and while errors will be gladly corrected NO LOT MAY BE RETURNED WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION. Request to return coins MUST BE MADE WITHIN rHREE DAYS OF RECEIPT OF COINS.

2. All bids are to be by LOT as numbered in the catalogue. When identical bids are re- ceived, preference is given to earliest bidder.

3. This is UNRESTRICTED PUBLIC AUCTION. All bids are entered as received and highest bidder will be the buyer. Mail bidders may feel free to submit any bid they wish and each lot will be purchased for such bidders at the next highest bid over room bidders.

4. Bidders must establish credit or have on deposit 25% of TOTAL bids.

5. All ACCOUNTS MUST BE SETTLED PROMPTLY IN U. S. FUNDS, or in other currencies if special arrangements have been made.

6. Lots delivered in New York City are subject to 6% Sales Tax. Mail buyers in New York State pay 3% Sales Tax.

7. There will be no charge for executing bids but postage and insurance will be added, and a handling charge for large, bulky or heavy lots.

8. Where estimates are given they represent either the owner’s idea of value or our pro- fessional opinion as to what they should bring. IN ANY EVENT THEY ARE ONLY ESTIMATES AND YOU CAN BID HIGHER OR LOWER. We recommend however, if you want the lot, bid close to or over estimate.

9. All lots and coins are guaranteed to be genuine and as described by Mr. Hans Schulman and Herman Steinberg. Photographs are of the actual specimens put up for sale.

10. The buyer who acts as agent for third parties is the only person responsible for his purchases towards the auction house. Third parties refusing to accept coins from the agent are entirely the responsibility of the agent. The auctioneers cannot accept returns from agents because of third parties for any reason whatsoever unless coins were bought with specific special arrangements between the agent and the auctioneers.

11. Lots purchased by floor buyers cannot be returned. Mail bidders cannot return coins unless within 7 days of receipt of merchandise and a valid reason for return must be given.

12. Minors’ bids are not accepted.
